The eagle. A creature of strength, mediocrity, and stamina. Eagles are (in their own sort of way) very wise. In thunderstorms, when all of the other birds and
bugs and bats begin to head for cover, eagles are getting ready to soar. And, get this, thunderstorms recharge eagles; they fly higher and faster during storms.
"Eagle" should mean "excellent" in another language, since "Excellence" is from the Latin word meaning "to rise above", and that's the eagle's favorite pastime. Picture this. You're up
in an airplane at, say, 200,000 feet. It is a perfectly cloudless day and you're looking out of the window down at a freeway filled with cars that could be compared to ants.
Now, pretend that you're in one of those cars looking out the window up to the plane 200,000 feet above you. Whats the difference in what you see? It's simple, really. When you're up in the
plane, you can look out and really see the BIG picture, whereas you can have things blocking your ability to see the real big picture when you're not flying. Eagles soar.
They ALWAYS see the BIG picture. I think that we should be more like eagles.
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar
on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint."
-Isaiah 40:31
"Yes, I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the
world." -Oscar Wilde
